Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: June 24, 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of hatching eggs, eating eggs, and live chicks
("Products") from The Roost Collective, LTD ("Seller") to the customer ("Buyer"). By purchasing from
us, you agree to the following terms:
General
All orders are subject to availability.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updates will be posted to our website or provided with future transactions.
Hatching Eggs
No Guarantee of Hatch Rate: While we provide fresh, fertile hatching eggs and handle them with
care, we cannot guarantee hatch rates due to variables outside our control, including incubation
conditions, handling, or user error.
Shipping Risk: Hatching eggs are shipped at the buyer’s risk. We package all eggs securely, but we are not responsible for damage, delays, or mishandling during transit.
Customer Acknowledgment: By purchasing, you acknowledge the inherent risks of hatching and
agree that refunds or replacements are not issued based on hatch failure or postal handling.
Eating Eggs
Freshness Guarantee: Eating eggs are collected fresh and handled according to food safety
standards. Please refrigerate promptly and consume within the recommended time frame. All farm fresh eating eggs are ungraded.
Baby Chicks
Unsexed Chicks: Unless explicitly stated, chicks are sold as straight-run (unsexed). We do not guarantee gender unless specified as pullets or cockerels.
Health & Biosecurity: All chicks are hatched in a clean, bio secure environment. Buyers are responsible for proper brooding and for quarantining new chicks from existing flocks for at least 14 days.
No Returns:
For health and safety reasons, eating eggs are non-returnable and non-refundable once delivered or picked up.
Due to biosecurity concerns, live chicks cannot be returned or exchanged.
Payment & Refunds
All sales are final. Payment must be made in full prior to pickup.
No refunds are issued for cancellation, postal delays, failed hatches, or after-products leave our care.
Local Pickup ONLY for chicks
Local pickup is available **by appointment only**.
A **non-refundable $10.00 deposit** is required to reserve your pickup time slot. This deposit will be applied to the total purchase price at the time of pickup.
Missed appointments without rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
The seller is not liable for any loss, injury, or illness caused by or to the animals or products once they
leave our care.
